The rain stopped, the game started in Mirpur

The second day of the second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan has started after the rain stopped. Babar Azam and Azhar Ali are batting for Pakistan.

When the rain did not stop even at the end of the first session, both the teams went for a lunch break. The match was scheduled to be played at 9:30 am at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur but it was not possible due to heavy rain. There are many more waiting hours. The visiting Pakistan ended the first day’s play with 161 runs for 2 wickets. Babar Azam with 60 runs and Azhar Ali with 37 runs were unbeaten. In the first day’s game, rain also hit several times. The weather forecast had predicted rain before the match.

Babar Azam decided to bat after winning the toss. Pakistan openers Abid Ali and Shafiq made a great start. However, Pakistan lost both their openers in the Taizul cyclone. Taizul Islam bowled both of them. Taizul took 6 wickets in the first innings of the first Test. He is also showing surprise in the second test.

Meanwhile, Mominul’s team is already behind after losing by 6 wickets in the Chittagong Test against Pakistan. The Bangladesh captain does not see any alternative but to win this match with the intention of equalizing the series.
