The South Africa-India series will be without spectators

Kate South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came to a joint decision. Earlier, South Africa and India were allowed to watch the match if they had a two-dose vaccine for coronavirus. However, India and South Africa did not follow that path for fear of Omicron.

But even if the spectators cannot enter the field, the VIPs will be able to enjoy the game while sitting on the field. The members of the corporate companies that have contracts with Cricket South Africa will watch the game from the VIP box.

In a statement, the CSA said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of tickets to the South Africa-India series. The two boards have taken this decision jointly to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to ensure the biological safety zone of the players.

In the third ODI of the series against Australia last year, South Africa last played at their home ground. After that he played three series in his own country, but in none of the series was the spectator allowed to enter the field.
