A strong earthquake has shaken eastern Indonesia

Reuters quoted the Indonesian Meteorological Agency as saying. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Augustinus Florianas, a resident of the town of Maumee on Flores Island, said the quake had forced everyone to flee their homes and take to the streets.

Tsunami alert was issued in Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Southeast and South Sulawesi. The epicenter was reported at 12 km northwest of Larantukar, 112 km northwest of Flores.
