A two-day world peace conference will be held from Saturday (December 4) to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.

During the two-day discussion, important issues related to peace will be discussed in light of Bangabandhu’s peace philosophy. The conference will conclude with a unanimous declaration titled ‘Dhaka Peace Declaration’.
Due to the Corona epidemic problem, the two-day conference will be held in the presence of mixed media-virtual and physical. Hotel InterContinental, Hotel Sonargaon, and Foreign Service Academy, Sugandha have been selected as conference venues.
Considering the importance and greatness of the conference to be held, the President and the Prime Minister will be present at the opening and closing ceremonies of the conference on December 4 and 5 respectively. The opening and closing ceremonies will feature virtually connected guests from a number of internationally renowned guests.
