Warplane crashes in India

Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh told PTI that the incident took place at a place in Jaisalmer’s ‘Desert National Park’ area. The place belongs to Sam police station. Rescue operations are underway at the spot.

The Indian Air Force tweeted acknowledging the incident. An inquiry into the incident has been ordered. Wing Commander Harshit Sinha’s death has been mourned in the accident and his family has been offered condolences.
It is known that more than one MiG-21 plane has crashed this year. For these reasons, the aircraft is also called ‘Flying Coffin’.
A few days ago, 14 people, including General Bipin Rawat, were killed when a helicopter crashed in Tamil Nadu.
