Another 4,939 people died in the world in the previous 24 hours until 8:30 a.m. Bangladesh time on Tuesday (December 21), according to WorldOmiter, a website that tracks global corona statistics. On the other hand, 5 lakh 45 thousand 574 people have been identified.

Earlier, on Monday (December 20), 3,633 people died in the world at the same time. And 4 lakh 6 thousand 7 people were identified. As a result, the number of infected deaths has increased in one day.

The total number of people affected by Corona in the world so far is 26 crore 57 lakh 8 thousand 525 and the death toll stands at 53 lakh 7 thousand 417 people. And 24 crore 63 lakh 44 thousand 558 people have recovered.

The United States, the world’s most powerful country, has so far had the highest number of infections and deaths from the corona. In the country at the top of the list, 5 crore 20 lakh 59 thousand 6 people have been infected with corona so far. 6 lakh 26 thousand 736 people have died.

Corona has so far infected 3 crore 46 lakh 46 thousand 913 people in India, which is the second most affected and the third deadliest country. 4 lakh 8 thousand 554 people have died.

Brazil, which is the third most affected and the second deadliest country in the world, has so far contracted 2 crore 22 lakh 15 thousand 856 people and the total number of deaths so far is 6 lakh 17 thousand 905 people.

In the United Kingdom, which is in the fourth place in terms of infection, 1 crore 14 lakh 53 thousand 121 people have been infected with corona so far. Of these, 1 lakh 46 thousand 261 people died.

In Russia, which is in the fifth place, 1 crore 2 lakh 41 thousand 612 people have been affected by corona so far. 2 lakh 97 thousand 222 people died.

Turkey is sixth, France seventh, Germany eighth, Iran ninth and Spain tenth. Bangladesh ranks 31st in this list.

In the last week of December 2019, coronavirus transmission started from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. So far, Covid-19 has spread to 223 countries and regions of the world including Bangladesh.
