Merry Christmas today

People in the Christian community believe that the Lord Jesus came to earth to guide mankind to the path of truth and justice by preaching the glory of the Creator.

Like other countries in the world, the Christians of Bangladesh today are celebrating Happy Christmas with due religious solemnity and rituals, rejoicing, and prayers.
On this occasion, the religious institutions and churches of Christians all over the country, including the capital Dhaka, have been re-arranged. Lighting was also arranged at various churches and star hotels from Friday evening.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Christmas, the President said. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered separate messages on Friday evening wishing peace and welfare to all, including Christians.
In his message, the President wished endless happiness and well-being to all, including Christians, and said, “May everyone’s life be filled with happiness and prosperity.”

The Prime Minister said in her message that the constitution of Bangladesh has guaranteed equal rights to people of all religions and castes.
“We have made Bangladesh independent by waging a war of liberation in response to the lofty call of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib,” he said. “This country belongs to all of us.” Bangladesh is a safe haven for all people irrespective of religion or caste. ‘

Saturday has been declared a public holiday despite the weekly holiday on the occasion of Christmas. On the other hand, cakes will be made in many Christian families on the occasion of the day, special meals will be arranged. In addition to kirtan, religious songs have been organized in many parts of the country in compliance with hygiene rules.
Many in the Christian community choose Christmas to visit relatives. Many have left the capital for their village homes to share the joy with their family members.
Meanwhile, special Christmas prayers have been organized at Tejgaon Catholic Church (Church of the Holy Rosary) in the capital. The inside of the church has been painted with lots of lace. The inside is decorated with a Christmas tree.
In addition to lighting in the star hotels of the capital, Christmas trees and Santa Claus have been artificially placed inside the hotels.
