“We will move forward together in the coming days from these common ground,” he said. “We believe in prosperity and socio-economic development,” she said. When I see thousands of Bangladeshis in the Maldives working together with their brothers and sisters to contribute to the economy of the two countries, I am very happy.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina lauded President Ibrahim Salihar for revolutionizing the Maldivian economy through inter-island connectivity, green tourism, climate-friendly infrastructure and renewable energy.

He praised the Maldives for their commitment to tackling the adverse effects of climate change and keeping the tourism industry afloat despite the Corona situation.

The Prime Minister outlined various plans of her government to implement development projects in Bangladesh and transform Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041.

Sheikh Hasina said that the vision of our government-2041, to fulfill the expectations of the people by implementing the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build a golden Bengal. His government is committed to implementing the SDGs within the stipulated time.
