Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival

At a virtual meeting on December 12, the jury nominated DIMFF Best Film. The meeting was attended by producer, director, and writer Joy Sharma from India, producer Sara Afrin from Bangladesh, and director Zahidur Rahman Anjan.

Earlier on Saturday (December 11), another meeting was held between mobile filmmaker Sally-Ann Dunn (England), independent filmmaker Mahdi Hassan (Bangladesh), and documentary filmmaker Elizabeth D’Costa (Bangladesh) on ‘Ulab Young Filmmaker’ and ‘Cinemascope Best Film’. Nominate.

The winners will be announced on the closing day of the festival. Sarah Afrin, head of the jury at the Independent Film Department, expressed her confidence in organizing a wonderful festival. On the other hand, Mahde Hassan, head of the jury in the competition department, expressed hope that the festival would encourage short and independent filmmakers to go further.

The 8th edition of the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival is being organized by the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh with the slogan ‘New Generation, New Technology, New Communication’. 153 films from 31 countries are going to take part in this year’s festival.
